This role interacts with all business units, finance, accounts payable and operations. Fixed Assets and Capital Reporting: Maintain the fixed asset system for accounting, processing and reporting of all corporate asset acquisitions dispositions, as well as deprecation of the assets. Ensure all fixed asset interfaces and other areas are processed and prepared timely and accurately. Check for completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub ledger and month-end closing activities; such as, account reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments. Track the compilation of project costs (i.e. stores, IT, fixtures, etc.) into fixed asset accounts. Prepare monthly journal entries (i.e. labor capitalization, fixture take-offs, etc.), including general ledger reconciliations. Prepare monthly fixed asset cost and accumulated depreciation roll-forward information and related reconciliations for all business units. Perform reconciliation of fixed asset subsidiary ledger balances with summary-level business unit accounts and departments detail in general ledger. Prepare the monthly capital update report, with continued monitoring of annual expected spend. Assist in interim and year-end audits, as well as state and federal income tax audits. Prepare capex and depreciation forecasts and Plan projections. Assist with executing special projects. Purchasing: Review approved expense and capital requisitions for account & department coding, payment terms and all other miscellaneous items. Create purchase orders and issue to the originator and supplier. Record any capital purchase orders as commitments for capital reporting.
